Agreement and scope
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to the private accounting data service operated by Insightly LLC at qbo.insightlybi.com (the “Service”). “We,” “us” and “our” refer to Insightly LLC. “You” refers to the authorized person using the Service and, where applicable, the organization that person is authorized to represent.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Agreement. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. If you do not agree, do not connect a QuickBooks company or use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains the associated handling of information.
Limited license and authorized use
Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access the Service for authorized internal business accounting review and analysis. Access is restricted to users approved by the operator; the Service is not a public account-registration service.
You must have permission to access every company you connect and every record you request. Connecting one company does not grant access to another. You retain the rights you hold in your business data; this Agreement does not transfer ownership of that data to us. We retain our rights in the Service, subject to third-party and open-source rights.
Service functionality and limits
The Service retrieves supported, recorded accounting transactions, reference data and official financial reports from QuickBooks Online, stores copies for authorized queries, and makes selected results available through an authenticated, read-only query interface.
The Service does not create, edit or delete QuickBooks accounting records, initiate payments, or provide payroll processing. Unreviewed bank-feed items are outside the current scope. Intuit’s Accounting authorization scope can include write capabilities; the Service restricts its business-data requests to allowed read operations.
Company comparisons are presented side by side. They are not consolidated financial statements with intercompany eliminations or currency translation. Available features depend on the connected company, its subscription, API support and the Service’s configuration.
Use restrictions
You must not use the Service to access data without permission; bypass authentication, access controls or usage limits; disclose another organization’s information unlawfully; introduce malicious code; interfere with availability; or resell or sublicense access without our written agreement. Use must comply with applicable law and the terms governing your QuickBooks and other connected accounts.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security incident, suspected misuse, a legal requirement or an upstream service restriction.
Data freshness, reports and professional judgment
Results reflect the latest successful retrieval from QuickBooks, not a guarantee that bookkeeping is complete or that all records were retrieved at the same instant. Delays, historical adjustments, incomplete synchronizations and upstream errors can affect results. Review the company, reporting period, currency, accounting basis, retrieval time and completeness status before relying on a result.
The Service supports information review and does not provide professional accounting, tax, legal, investment or audit advice. Verify material figures against the underlying records and official reports, and obtain professional advice where needed. Generated explanations can contain mistakes and require review.
Third-party services and AI-assisted queries
QuickBooks Online and Intuit’s authorization services are provided by Intuit under its own terms. If you choose to query the Service through Codex or another authorized client, the requested information is transmitted to that client and its provider, including OpenAI when using Codex, to respond to your request.
Only use a client and account whose permissions and data-handling terms are appropriate for your company’s information. We do not control the availability, retention policies or account settings of independent services. QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of their respective owners. This Service is independently operated and is not represented as an Intuit product or as endorsed or certified by Intuit.
Disconnection, suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Use the administrator interface to disconnect a company, or revoke its app connection in QuickBooks. A disconnection stops future synchronization for that company. Successful disconnection through the Service revokes and removes its stored authorization tokens.
Disconnection does not itself erase previously synchronized records or copies already received by a query client. For deletion or termination of the Service, contact admin@insightlybi.com; retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy. Retention does not authorize any use beyond your permissions or applicable law. We may discontinue the Service or terminate access for a material breach, a legal requirement, or a security risk.
Availability and warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free results, suitability for every accounting purpose, or continued availability of third-party integrations. Maintenance, network failures and changes to upstream APIs may interrupt service.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Responsibility and liability
You remain responsible for business decisions, accounting entries, filings and payments made using information obtained from the Service. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
This provision does not limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit. It does not waive mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
Changes and interpretation
We may update this Agreement as the Service or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will be shown on this page. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the Service and contact us about disconnection and deletion.
The English version is the primary text. The Chinese version is provided for convenience; if the versions differ, the English text governs to the extent permitted by applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
